Nice to see this out at Curborough recently and get a ride in it! Longman’s 1978 BTCC winner, in pretty fine form too!

Very tidy Pete. It's a long time since I saw an Aqua GT in the flesh 8-) Unusual and quite suits it :) BL had some cheery, bright colours at that time.
Is it still Hydro?

No mate but I may just put it back, haven’t decided yet. It’s a nicely restored car albeit had some incorrect parts nailed to it when I got it, should make a really nice toy once finished!

Is that Bracken or Bronze?

Who knows Pete ;) . I can't see what year it is but Bronze Yellow pre-dated Bracken and was a little lighter and brighter so I'm going with Bronze Yellow. BL must have changed from one to the other around 1973/74? A good "T-cut" will soon tell us ;) :? 8-)

The grille looks like a post '76 one......? Albeit with an earlier badge fitted. A rub down and a can of satin black will sort it.

Definitely Bronze yellow. One of the last with that boot handle.

"Not for sale"

Probably thinks it's still worth £500.

But goes to show that they're STILL around. Hidden away in dusty old garages

Not always in dusty garages...this W Reg 1275GT sat on the driveway outside the garage of a very nice house local to me and had not moved from the spot for over 10 years. Sadly it eventually had green mould growing on it and flat tyres...but disappeared a couple of years ago, hopefully to be restored rather than scrapped....or maybe it has been put in the garage it sat outside of unused for so long!

Not bronze it will be bracken
from hazy memory i think this car was a Mreg or Nreg

So i think Bracken is slightly newer than bronze ??
