Was never a fan of denovo’s when I first started driving mini’s - but they have grown on me and they look superb on the GT.

A few questions for the GT boffins :

1. When did the ‘chrome’ eyeball vents change to black?
2. When did the bonnet stay move to the O/S?
3. Who does the best GT stripes, need a set in prune.
4. When did the grilles change from early to late?
5. Were the Rostyles always one colour silver?
6. Anyone got a very decent rear bumper?
7. Painted fuel filler caps, when did they phased out?

Next question, how much specific info do the Heritage Certificates list for early 70s cars? I am aware it’s not as detailed as for the earlier cars but does it tell you build date, destination, body and trim colour?

Edit : pretty sure you can’t get one for a ‘72 built car full stop!

My 1275GT x 1977 yr; Heritage Cert gives ..the Chassis no; + Spec;= Home Market + Colour + Trim Colour + Date Of Build ..but NO date of dispatch + Destination Dealer = home market with the name of dealer + Details of Factory Fitted Equipment . devono, temp gauge , seatbelts, fresh air heater.. that is all the heritage cert info i got for my 1275GT.
Hardly worth the spend and the engine number is also Not recorded

Pete, Drop them an email. They used to do, and may still do, a less formal certificate at a cheaper price.

Yes pre 1970 and 77-81 they seem to be pretty good on it’s the rest they struggle with due to an apparent lack in detail of factory records for those other years, ie 70-77 and 82 onward. I’ve sent them an email anyway. I’ve owned very few 70s Minis so haven’t looked into it before!

Got one for my 1973 GT, states Chassis No, Body No: not recorded, Spec: RHD home market, Colour: not recorded Exterior Trim: not recorded, States Date built, and Date dispatched and destination dealer, so as you say, not that comprehensive! That heritage certificate was issued in 1994!
