Pretty sure that's the same car I went to see in Brinklow a few years ago, advertised as a Mk2 Cooper, engine looked right, V5C matched up ok but it looked like it had floor pans / tunnel pressing from a Mk3 shell. Told the vendor exactly that and a few days later it sold.

Black Tulip, one of my faves. I prefer it with a Geranium (red) interior to the Ochre. Good to see it still has the colour matched door rubbers.

If it is a 1969 car it could well have MK3 features in the shell.
Mine has the large rear roto dip hole in the rear seat back.

It is a MK2 shell by the looks of the pictures.

If it is a 1969 car it could well have MK3 features in the shell.

Not when it comes to the tunnel it couldn't. Early MK3s had a MK1 / 2 tunnel in until around 1973 when the rod change box came in.

From the pictures, not very clear I will admit, it looks to have the round section tunnel. The 'square' rise would begin in the piece of the panel in the picture and that does not seem to be there.
I could well be wrong though....... :?

Having looked at the puictures.

I agree, it does look like a MK1 / 2 tunnel, not the later square profile one to me.
