I was going to bid for it - and the cylinder head which was auctioned separately - but both, particularly the rocker cover, went for more than I was prepared to pay. (I have a 948 Sprite engine to put it on so thought it might be worth a gamble). He also had the bottom end but I was doubtful that it was anything special.

What grille is this? At first it looked like Innocenti MK1, but looking closer it isn't. Is it Mini at all?

And that was for just ONE headlight - not the pair!

We used those lights in the 70's on a rally Cooper 'S'. excellent though they were, I think I'd use sealed beam units rather than pay that kind of silly money, & blaming blemishes on the reflector on build quality is questionable, I think that has more to do with the sands of time. If anyone buys them, will they ever dare to use them, or put them in a museum?

ricardo in portugal posted a picture from ebay showing a 9 slat morris mk1 "type" grill. what's it from?.i've got a couple nos of these. the mustache uses 6 screws rather than 4. i bought them a long time ago and i can't recall anything about them.
