In this case I don't think the world has gone mad. That's a pretty useful bit of bodyshell if your repairing or making a mk1 shell ..... Ken

Seller says it is 1964 registered but it is on an A suffix.... I thought that was 1963 (when used)

It might have had a no plate transfer.

DVLA used to use A plates as the replacements.

A Plates were used in both 63 & 64 as they came in at different times over the country. But as has already been said, it has probably had a non suffix plate transferred away & an A Plate given as a replacement.
