And if it is, why are they hiding the number plate?

At LEAST.

The white one with the obscured number plate - I don't think obscuring the plate is particularly significant in itself, seems to be all the rage with certain dealers.

I think it's just vanity! and who does a white studio shot of a white car?????

I suspect it's got something to do with you being able to check on a cars MOT record now.

If you haven't tried it out do, it's great fun.

Despite us being part of the UK and that we use the same registration documentation, the site doesn't work for NI registered cars as we have a different MoT system to the mainland.

I've done a bit more digging on 5319 CR.

Note the dates from the .gov vehicle enquiry and the .gov MoT check are not the same. MoT site gives date if first use as December 1960!

Check the MOT history of a vehicle

By the way, the car is Farina Grey, according to the Ebay ad.

Also compare the engine bay shots from ebay
engine 2016.JPG
and from H&H in 2013
engine 2013.JPG
Note the odd shaped air filter box in both

Yes Al, guilty :D

I know I'm biased, but the protection they give during a rebuild or general work is great,
