I have those exact seats in nice shape from a '69 Clubby I owned. I liked them well enough to consider using them on some other project.
You don't fancy selling them to me by any chance
I don't know what I was thinking but foolishly sold the fronts from mine (71) and replaced with cobra classics. I haven't managed to find original replacements yet.

More Clubby love....a cool '72 Aussie specimen that resides near me. Started life in Oz then went to the UK, now resides in the states. The resto and story was featured in Mini magazine some years ago.

I have not even given any thought to selling them. I have the complete front and rear set.
Also I am in the states so if you are in the UK that could be problematic.

Too many pages to go back through, but I think someone suggested the car not being English built. I would agree. I bet it turns out to be Australian or South African.
I also remember a mention of an inner CV needing to be replaced. A '72 would not have started with inboard CVs. Not a CV problem, but a u-joint problem? Or a later gearbox? Or...?

Well I was not able to purchase the car. I didn't even get a chance to see it in person. I made arrangements with the Seller to see it on Sunday, as he said that was the only time he was able to show it. Saturday morning I noticed the ad was take down, I messaged the Seller to find out he sold it. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed!!!!!
I wonder if it has anything to do with this thread, I sure hope not. I have no regrets a lot of good and interesting info can of this thread and glad to see a "MK1" dedicated site is not basis to other mini models. Anyways I hope the new owner treats it as well as I would have. Cheers!

That thing was way over priced anyway, you're better off without it.
That stinks man...sorry to hear it.
On to the next!

Oh no, sorry to hear you didn't manage to buy the clubman.
Two of my old minis went to the US including the 1972 1275GT I posted a pic of, that one went to Florida. Both were shipped out privately by the buyer. The GT was bought by a lady who shipped it out to her Dad, at what cost I have no idea, it might be worth looking into maybe

From what I know, Aussie ones had external hinges, recessed door handles and 1/4 front windows, MK1 rear windows and originally would have had stamped engine numbers (not plates like UK cars)

Timmy201. Point taken. Went back through postings. You are correct. Not OZ.
