It was way past midnight, when Richard and I went home from the garage.
we got a lot of stuff off the car, and without breaking one singel bolt.
Here is the tanks & fuel lines (16mm outlets from each tank)

Its now February 8th 2007.
This day, was one of the best, of the whole resto process
I was in the garage with Richard, when the phone rang.
It was the owner of the JS turbo bits, that was removed from the car 20 years earlier.
He asked what I was doing with the car ?
I told him that Richard & I was in the garage, and had startet to desmantle the car.
He then asked what I would do with it, once it was restored ?
I told him that I would keep it, as it was the most interesting car I had.
His next words was the best news I could get
he said
" OK, I wont be the one, stopping you from making it right "
Finally after 7 years, he agreed to sell me the parts.
We agreed that I should come on the sunday, and pick them up
I could hardly wait

That's a great result having the original turbo parts.
All good things come to those that wait.

Hi guys
yes it was shurely christmas again, but this time it cost money
the most expensive christmas ever
We have now come to sunday 11 of February 2007.
This was the day I should pick up the turbo / carb / exhaust / etc.
my friend had layed out all the parts, onthe floor, when I arrived.
He told me, that he had second thoughts, while digging out the parts.
But luckely for me, did he not have a change of heart.
It was VERY late when I arrived home (always is, when I visit him)
as he collects tuning parts, for Mini,s
and have been collecting for more than 25 years.
there is SOO much nice stuff to see, and talk about, so time flies
no pictures, from this day, but I have a video.
Its loaded into my computer, but I cant open it

EDIT 14 - 2 - 2012
Video recorded with my mobile phone, on 11 - 2 - 2007

Hello JC,
I think your brains have leaked out of your ears while you were asleep, or is it the excitement of collecting you new parts, or is it the trauma of parting with so much money.
Have a good day anyway,
Pete

Hi Ronnie, you forgot the 2007
I made this thread becourse its now been 5 years since I restored the car, but I didnt have a computer back then
so becourse of my 5 year jubilee, and JanSpeed,s 50
I made this tread in "real time" as it happened 5 years ago.
My friend lives on the south part of Sealand, its a one & a half hour drive.

This video, was recorded on February 12th .

Richard had come over from Sweden, and we drove out to the garage,
to see how things were fitted.
It was fairly logical, how all was placed, but we could not find the place for the brakeservo
We could see it still was fitted, with the turbo conversion, but we could not find out where

Getting ready, for the removal, of the engine.
The position of the brake servo, was located, we found the holes for servo hose & brake pipes, under a thick layer, of filler
JanSpeed put it, behind the LH wheel.
