Ahh I see, didn't realise it was into an oilway, now I get your reference to oilspray hole!

The repair is way below where the rings will travel so no worries!

Well done, neat repair.

Thanks

Graham

JC I don´t know why they cut the rearbins, but maybe to get some floor rep. made.

Some more pic from the bodywork taken last week.

A friend of mine at work (1959 Mini project owner) did the honing yesterday.

Another friend has made the torque plate, so the bores will be perfect round.

The company i work for makes hydraulic equipment for ships, so we have some nice machines,
that can be used when you are tuning A series engines.

This is the old american Sunnen honing machine.

Nothing made on the 850 today, but did some final adjustments on this full race engine I have done.

It is running in the Danish pre 1971 race series driver and owner Flemming Jørgensen.

OK, now I can understand why there was still a mark in the cylinder bore, and why you are not sleeving the cylinders.

That torque plate looks very nice. Excellent.

Funny thing, the company I work for makes engines for ships, but since I work in control systems I don't have easy access to the nice machines.

Body work looks like it's coming along nicely.

Not much haas been done recently, but my friend Mogens has finished the body welding.

I was not happy with the non genuine front wings and the repaired lower windscreen panel, so they had to be scrapped.

The genuine parts was better, but we still had so cut the left hand front wing to get it to fit.
It was between the headlamp and bonnet the problem was.

Now it is back in my own garage, and waiting for some sandblasting.

Still not much done on the 850, broke the thumb on the wifes car with a big hammer.

But I have done this Danish cargo bike called a Long John

It is a 1961 model, and was in a very bad condition.

No it is my own creation, but I have looked closely at the Pashley guvnnor.

Frame is British Hunter from 1963, Imported to Denmark by Nelleman, same company that sold Minis
