So Adrian can customers (ahem..)

send their mistakenly purchased bars back if they've already been fitted like mine ? (now removed obviously) .
Yes you can. There will be a handling charge to cover replating if we can't sell it 'as new' but otherwise we are happy to exchange them for the shorter bar!
Thanks for that, on it's way !
Magic. We have a batch of 'historic' bars off at plating, due back next Tuesday, so I will get the replacement on its way as soon as they are back with us.

Still not sent my bar off, should happen tomorrow.
Here's the one on Swifty's new racer from the weekend......
Looks even shorter and modded.

The blades are bent .
My kad ones are straight.

Bending the blades is good.... gives more clearing to the tyre + more importantly; the rosejoint wont schafe against the side of the blade (as it does when at an angle - this makes a very "squeeky" sound)
Looks like they've made their own drop-links too...
Got any more detail photos of Nick's new wonder?

I think that's an even shorter bar than the historic one , hence the bent blades as you say for extra clearance. Beautifully built car, even the body has panel gaps to die for !
Poor photo this (was in a rush) , note standard pedals (I'm not the only one without fancy extensions then !).

We supplied that as two collars and a length of bar!
Its not unusual for people to bend the blades though- that gives more room for clearance and gives you more of a chance at getting the drop links as straight as possible if your set-up is a little different than the considered 'standard' that the bar was designed for. Swifty has access to a press though, so bending the blades evenly and nicely is easily done. Its not so easy at home in a bench vice with a hammer and scaffold bar as your only metal forming tools!

Instead of bending use a spacer otherwise the ball can not fuction fully in the rose joint!

Well spotted- I hadn't noticed that, the rose joint is butted straight up against the blade which is incorrect.
I'll remember that next time they come on.
