Re: Classic nostalgia July
Does this mean no more tickets or no more advance tickets ?
As a statement it will make a lot of people think “ no more tickets” full stop....

Our offer still stands Pete, if I can get the diff changed in time.
I know that it's still 2 weeks away but we are still flat out the Hypercar market has just taken off, can't stand the things myself. They have slowed down the P2 cars to make the Hypercars look good

Hi Mark
If you are not committed on the Sunday you could share our car with Pete.
Seems a shame to miss it and it's not a million miles from Silverstone.

Re: Classic nostalgia July
Thanks for such a generous off Trevor but I’ve withdrawn my entry for this. However with a little luck plus Nick’s hard work and expertise we’ll get Minty repaired and ready in time to enjoy the weekend as part of the Gerry Marshall tribute. Really look to forward it now. Fingers crossed!

Final Instructions came out with the provisional entry list. I asked about competitors tickets and was told “wristbands will be available in the office”.

Re: Classic nostalgia July
Well what a cracking event!
I had a brilliant time. My Shelsley started with a fantastic Saturday night at the bar with good mates, celebrating Adam's Silverstone results. Followed by a fairly grim night in the back of the van, I however was well off, Adam slept outside only waking up to discover he had been sleeping in a cow turd
Brilliant turn out of cars, all be it a little heavy on Modern Lotuses & Austin Healey's for my liking, but this was more than made up by the BRM display, the Gerry Marshall parade, 500's rally cars & a few good runs up the hill. As usual, I did OK, with no traumas & the car ran perfectly.
Just got to work out how to get in next year now

Re: Classic nostalgia July
Glad you enjoyed yourself down here. I had a fab time on the Saturday, possibly a better selection of cars too. Gearbox on the Vette was a complete lottery, now popping out of 1, 2 & 3! Sorry didn’t manage to get any Mini photos but here’s a few others.

Re: Classic nostalgia July
Great weekend, thanks to Nick Wardley for the effort in getting my car fixed after my crunch at YMF, I did the Gerry Marshall demo runs with his son Gregor in the end (who was great fun) which seemed the best option considering I still have a few niggles to sort out. Got totally frazzled being out in the sun all day but we’ll worth it. A few pics from the weekend..
