I might be demo running too (in 110 NNM) as the racer will not be finished. This does depend however on the number of competitor entries recieved. If we do sell out the demo runs might well be limited.mk1coopers wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 1:00 pm Waiting to see what's happening on the Demo runs, there are quite a few people I know interested in these (much as Id like to compete it may not work out to get everything ready for a full on run, including myself )

My hopes are also pinned on a demonstration run.
After studying the blue book, I think I may need to consider a rebuild to get the car to meet regs and not fall in sports libre.

Not yet Mark, should be soon! Ditto spectators / exhibitors. Prescott are just waiting for the green light on the latter but I’m also pretty optimistic there’ll be room for demos. 75 Hillclimb entries so far.

Re: Prescott Mini Festival 22nd May 2021
Im trying to put pressure on to clarify spectators and demos because other events seem to be factoring them in without too much concern. It’s a local council thing.

Hi Pete
Looks like a great event and one I aim fighting to get the Cooper finished for!
What is the arrangement, if any, to be able to bring the Cooper down as a spectator or as part of a display?
Thanks in advance and apologies if this has been already mentioned!

Hi Pete
As a member of the BOC and a local council resident I am also concerned that attendance details has not been agreed. I would like to attend and also take part in the demo runs but not compete. I have sent them an e-mail and will keep up the pressure.

Re: Prescott Mini Festival 22nd May 2021
Did they have a problem with the council last year Cliff because unlike Shelsley they ran their events behind closed doors.?

Re: Prescott Mini Festival 22nd May 2021
The new Prescott team seem to be finding it difficult to get things out in decent time, they are good at spin so there will be a good excuse coming no doubt - I am also a member of the club.
It maybe this super concept by Pete and all his hard work may not have the same support it could have had their been more being done to give confidence and direction by BOC to the potential supporters of this event, the last update on the Prescott BOC site was at begining of March and now we are 4 weeks away from the event so what news ?

I called them on Thursday. They are waiting for the local council to agree numbers.

Re: Prescott Mini Festival 22nd May 2021
It’s very frustrating. There’s events like this up and down the land planning positively for spectator attendance in line with the government road map from May 17th (a very important date for many!) and yet seemingly we can’t. I’ll know more by Monday hopefully.

Re: Prescott Mini Festival 22nd May 2021
Anyone on here who’s local council is at Tewkesbury who’s prepared to fire off a couple emails asking them some simple questions? Like : are they allowing spectators to the Prescott Mini Festival on May 22nd as you are hoping to attend and if not why not as the government rules all change on May 17th. You could also throw the local economy into the mix. They still have Prescott’s application sat on their desk and have still not actioned it.

On a more positive note I have some good news on demo runs to announce later which will at least give a large enough public access to this event in their Minis.
