I'm afraid I'm now not going to make it.
Due to a job over run I'm going to be working over the weekend instead and as work's so bleedin thin on the ground and has been for a good while it's a no brainer for me. Ahh the pleasures of self employment.
Apologies to everybody, I have emailed all concerned seperately ,the Mk1 display area will still be there for you to park up and I hope it's a great day.

Yes I agree "no matter what the weather is like" there is no such thing as bad weather, if you dress correct.
But as far as carshows go, I think most of us prefer it to be dry, and not TOO hot.
And yes -it is my first Beaulieu
I wanted to go last year, so this year it is
I am in UK now, look foreward to see all the nice cars "in the flesh" and meeting you owners on Sunday.

I think sails and a rudder would be more appropriate today! Its absolutely hammering it down! Only 3 cars on the mk1 stand this year.

Popped along to say hello and thought all the cars had been washed away!
Worth it to see the excellent turnout of French cars though.
Cheers Mark

Well that really was wet, such a shame after years of good weather. It was nice to have the museum to go and dry off in, it could have been intolerable without it. Some great cars there, I was impressed by the turnout of Supers. I got a couple of bits I needed but most stuff was a little expensive for me.

Just got back to leafy Lincolnshire and am now dry and warm! Thanks to the brave three that made it onto the stand today. It was nice to put faces to names. It was great to see you again Nev. Let's hope next year is a drier day! Tim

Well done to those who managed to make it.
Sounds like it was a very, very wet one.
I used to joke that it only rained when I went, for the last 3 years its been the other way round.
Better pencil it in for next year now to avoid everyone getting drenched again.

Very wet sunday, but I had a very good time; The MKII ran perfectly during the 2500kms, I met some people from the forum. Thanks to Enguerrand and "the team" for having hosted us..
And we won the 1st price for the class 4 !
Will post pics later, but because of the bad weather, I only had a few.
Thanks for the nice pics of y car ! (beige el paso MKII).

Sunshine, blue skies and warmth. These were all missing from Beaulieu yesterday. Both our gezebos were damaged by the wind as was Bart's. We finally put our soaking wet stock and tents back in the van at about 4.00. we were, however, busy all day, it seems we had the right stuff on our stall. I didn't manage to find Garry Dickens but saw a near perfect almond green super which I suspect was his. I did meet Nev, Coopertim ,Paul Lips, Alex (ex AutoBMC), Etienne, and the amazing 6'6" Jens Christian to name a few. I now have £5 notes draped over all the radiators in the house drying out.
Also found out from Armin that the 2013 IMM is in Italy and the 2014 in Kent.

The Austin wouldn't start this morning. After a quick poke around it turned out the inside of the dizzy cap had a nice coating of condensation. After a quick wiping out with some kitchen paper the Austin fired up. Finally got back home today at 5:30 after a quick stop at everyones favourite Harrogate Mini Emporium, to pick up some odds and ends that I didn't get on Sunday.
It was great to see some of the cars from the forum in the metal, especially that Sprint.

I went along and got soaked too......loved the Sprint like everyone else...wish i could afford a set of rose petals!
Only there a couple of hours due to the rain, managed to get most of the bits i needed so was worth venturing out in it, although i was in my sportspack which is a horrible thing to drive on the motorway in the wet.....aqua-planing fun!
