Astounding work. I've gradually grown to like OEW/black - used to hate it! I colour changed my 970 S from that to Almond green when i restored it in 1990.

You need to add the chrome spacer for the ignition switch - I think BMC started it in late 1964 on hydro cars when all Minis went to key start.

The white wire with the bullet connector is the earth from the heater motor.

If you have a new wiring loom from autosparks then there is a blach bullet connector coming out of the loom somewere under the dash were the steering column if fixed.

Looking spectacular, Aginley! Watching threads like these keep me moving forward on my own rebuild. Very nice work.

How did you attach the Autolok seatbelt units? That's an interesting spot in the rear pockets, but I can't see how it would mount in that position.. ?

Might just be my eyes, but have you fitted the external seam covers?

Looking great anyhow.

Looks fantastic! Are your screen demister vents on the right side?
Good luck fitting the side strips, I'd cut down on the coffee the day you fit them :)

Ive seen this car in the flesh and it's as good as it looks! (but cut down your fresh air hose to the right length! ;) ) . I'll hopefully be putting a late '64 S together later this year so will need to refresh my memory using this thread! :). If you're nervous about fitting the chrome plastic seam covers I'm happy to pop over.

Thanks Pete. Means a lot from someone with your knowledge.
Have yo got a picture of how long the air tube is meant to be? I left it full length so I could chop it in situ. Definitely don’t want to remove it, it was a pig to fit..

If they're not the originals and you didn't fit them before painting be prepared with the dremmel to trim them back around the waist of the car to get a really snug fit, wish I'd spent more time on mine... :?

Tears are original, fronts aren’t. Will let you know how they look

Loving your work - and boy oh boy how fast you are moving ahead with it! Did that model have a Tudor water bottle by the way?
