Who's "Betty Richmond"?
The field’s growth comes with a change in format – with the race now split into three parts: two heats of thirty cars each will kick off the Mini racing action on Saturday, with the top 15 cars from each heat making their way into the Betty Richmond Trophy final on Sunday afternoon.

The new race – to be called the Betty Richmond Trophy in tribute to the current Duke of Richmond’s grandmother – will see thirty pre-’66 Minis battle on track in what promises to be an exciting and extremely close battle.

Is it correct that you can only watch the livestream now if you’re a GRRC member?
Would loved to have gone but the entry tickets have reached a whole new level of cost

Is it really that expensive when you are looking at £45 plus for a basic ticket to get into a Premiership Football match which only lasts 90 minutes, a whole day at the MM is 'only' £88, things are expensive to get into these days (though I was pleasantly surprised at the low cost of supporting the MK1 display at the Sunday Scramble in April)

We’re northerners though Mark.
. To be fair though, the Oulton Park Gold Cup is a quarter of the price of Goodwood MM!

because ‘Goodwood’, I agree it’s not cheap, compared to Football (and other sports) it not bad value for the time you can spend at the event

Edited for acuracy.

Well yes it is expensive really...let’s see a 3 day all stage pass for WRC Rally GB is £99. Goodwood at £88 for a day plus the membership fee is frankly bonkers!
To then put all their tv advertisers (who’ve no doubt paid a fortune to be part of it) hiding behind a paywall just smacks of pure greed I’m sorry to say.
I’d class a sensible figure as around £50, which I may add is still basically twice the price of a Gold Cup ticket...heck the Members ticket is actually dearer than last years revival tickets...

Football works the other way around doesn't it ?, the further north you go the more expensive it gets
You will be ok with your access to the posh posh parts of the event, I'll come and polish your tyre treads on the Sunday guvnor
Brynmor the tickets were discounted (
) if you bought the early bird ones as a member, I do agree there are cheaper events out there, at the end of the day I think we are lucky to have a wide variety of events to choose from

Has anyone seen an entry list yet?
Was wondering if any of “my old cars” were taking part, a.though probably won’t recognise new owners!

There won't be an entry list published until quite close to the event, which cars did you own?

I recognise all of those and owned NLG myself some years ago. Its still a roadcar though isn't it?

NLG was rebuilt from the ground up to FIA race spec by myself about 10 years ago.

So are (we) saying is it's expensive for classic Motorsport but comparatively good value against some other forms of entertainment
Either way I'm looking forward to it and the Mini's
