Thanks guys, i am really happy with it as i have changed my mind so many times on what i want and have a loft full of bits i am not gonna use now lol. I am tempted to have the front reg no. on the bonnet but not sure, any advise or pics?

I vote for not putting it on the bonnet it would be to close to the S logo, it looks good as it is. :)

As above Steve, what a gorgeous looking car and so much more distinctive with the black roof! Its given me fresh enthusiasm to get cracked on with my '65' Tweed Grey car!

Absolutely superb!

Tim.

I couldn't resist retouching in a new background on HPE 49C a superb tweed grey 65 Cooper S after seeing it posted on the MCR forum last year, it was parked in front of some old garage doors which didn't do it justice, the reg on the bonnet does look good as does the black roundel on the door, the cars owner is Paul from Christchurch New Zealand.

Now that i like :D
I do think the reg looks great on the front and doors look great too. Decisions decisions. I take it if i changed my mind later these would just peel off?
Thanks for posting that it really does look fantastic i think i need to print that off and stick it on the garage wall.

Quick update, the car is at southam engine in :D (well almost) few mods to the front panel brace as some numpty put it in the wrong place :( (Not southam)and the lip bent over for the cooler to fit properly. After that a bit of paint to make good and jobs a good un.

Not sure why this thread had passed me by :?: Good work - the car looks superb, lovely colour combo with those wheels! :D Looking forward to more photos!

Where did you get your fresh air duct/hose/elephants trunk?!

Cheers,

Chris

Thanks guys. Chris i think the elephants trunk was from one of the suppliers on here, i'll you look on the recomended suppliers i think i left a positive comment on there. I got the trunk, proper circlips, bracket and bulkhead grommet. Wasn't as difficult as i expected to fit as long as its warm. If you struggle to find the supplier let me know and i'll dig the receipt out. Cheers Steve
