Got a 'flat front' block here C1103...think that means it was cast on a Tuesday but machined on a Thursday...

I am new to the forum, hello all, and, hoping to rekindle an old thread.
I have a 1966 (April/May) South African Austin 1275 Cooper S that will be restored soon.
Can anyone confirm whether the main cap numbers were ever stamped on the top face of the engine cylinder block, directly beneath the engine number plate? This would only be visible when the plate is removed. It has been suggested to me that the number stamped on the engine block should correspond to the number on the main bearing housing caps. I have not yet stripped down the engine so I am unable to confirm.
The number is "TP3287".
