Must admit I thought it was a dull race though scarsely have I ever seen a close historic saloon race at Oulton, not sure why that is.

Finally

A fine day out:

Line up:

2nd lap: Follow young Whizzo Williams (72) and Colin Flynn (74!)

Car goes onto 3 cylinders. Try to make it last 3 laps to qualify. No chance

Flywheel seemed to want to carry on although the crank had other ideas:

Bingo! Metal sculpture

Sorry to be that grumpy that I went home on Saturday and missed all. Hey ho

Tim,

Keep the bits for Chris Jenkins he will likely find a use for them in his next engine build.......

OUCH!

Tim, I don't blame you for feeling a bit down in the dumps after a blow up like that.

Did the box get away with it, of shouldn't I ask.

Hope you get up & running again soon.

Yes Arp bolts

Bearing shell seems to have been first to go and then its shaken itself to bits (uneducated guess)

It was fine 7 miles/10 minutes earlier. No hint of a rumble on tickover so think it was something freaky
