I have now added the Group C and Les Leston race pictures to my Photobucket page.
Here's a link to a slide show

I am slowly working my way through and hope to have the Gerry Marshall race shots up over the weekend.
Here's a few of the Les Leston runners and a couple of Group C shots.

Would love to know the details of the motor - it revs like a short stroke!
App J rules say the original stroke must be retained and that a bore size of plus .065" is permitted, so I'm guessing it's a 1400 with DC5 etc.

Mr Swift gets a bit animated at times, great fun by the looks of it though.

Well, he
did win a price for best hand signal/gesture of the weekend!
FWiW, there's a specific set of the regs for this heat and the engine is buildt to those rules, not App J, K or whatever.

The old group 5 regulations allowed to alter bore/stroke within the class limits (1300ccm). When regarding the engine compartment, it rather seems to be a group 5 than a 1b. It's not really a rebuild beside the paint.

+65 overbore, standard stroke (crank is free) and 715Kg inc driver pretty much sums it up.
