Electric petrol pump moved from subframe to bulkhead, washer bottle replaced with what looked like a sweet, Extra Switches and gauges aplenty inside. Floor pan slightly damaged by jacking but otherwise reasonably sound but rotten outer sills. Small hole in boot floor. Don't know what it sold for but guide price was £4000-6000.
sold for £4200
Sounds about right, hope it stays in one piece, nice together project for some one

Jim Clark Lotus Cortina set for £200k sale
"PHK 614D is one of just three Group 5 works cars built by Lotus for the 1966 Saloon Car Championship. And, as if that wasn’t reason enough to covet it, it was driven in that competition by none other than Jim Clark, Graham Hill, Sir John Whitmore, Peter Arundell and Jacky Ickx.
Now it’s going under the hammer at Silverstone Auctions’ Autosport International Sale – with a hefty estimate of £180,000 to £200,000."

I doubt that will get to its reserve. I think they should knock the 1 of the front of the estimate. I would understand the price if it had 2,000 miles on the clock, but in excess of 20,000 its just to optomistic a value.
Other cars of note in the sale are the Mini Clubman with a tale to tell, and the Mk3S at an affordable estimate.

Have to agree Stuart, it is in the region of £5k to £8k is my thinking. That late Mk3 Cooper S looks original enough but it has lost the hydrolastic system and needs a lot of tidying. That Mini 30 is one nice car and where I would put £20k before that VP, Cooper S or that Clubman

Nice but I don't think any ADO16 is worth that unless it's delivery mileage, unrestored and perfect. I missed out on one such car, Mk1 Morris, thirty years ago and have been kicking myself ever since (I was still at uni' so had no money to spend on cars)
Interested to see how the BMW 2500 does, mine has slightly lower mileage and doesn't have those stupid speakers stuck on the parcel shelf, what a daft thing to do to such a nice car.

Probably what it is worth if it had over £10K spent on it - they cost a lost more to put right than a mini, but yes rare to see one going for that money

Buy that and you've got change to get yourself a decent daily driver as well.
Boxed Les Leston looks to be at the top end
