Lovely photos Nidge. Never seen them before. What’s with the off road tyres I wonder.

He did publish a few snaps a few years ago, no Minis in them. I think he was more interested in snapping pics of his new baby! Harrison was the petrolhead of the band no doubt!hanlminiman wrote:Just thought after seeing the camera in Ringo's hand. I wonder if he took any photos of his cars and maybe even the others ? A treasure hunt challenge for you Pete. Didn't I read somewhere that he had started to review his pictures?
I wouldn't be surprised if there are plenty of private photos amongst their families showing various cars in the background, the stuff that's surfacing online now is mostly from fans who managed to get close to them at their homes or at Abbey Road, I reckon there are a lot of pics none of us will ever get to see though. '67 was by far their busiest year and they were in and out of each other's cars and houses all the time. I came across a shot of Macca outside his house in Cavendish Avenue with Cyn's Porsche 911 a couple of weeks ago, she didn't own it for very long so it's a wonder there are any photos of it at all, I've got five and that's it.Pete wrote:He did publish a few snaps a few years ago, no Minis in them. Ive definately seen/got other photos from outside Queen Carlotte's hospital but the majority of the car is always not in frame, always been keen to see a rear view of it but never have.WMU 211G wrote:
Going back to the two 'new' pics I posted of Ringo and the Hooper, there were at least half a dozen photographers present when Ringo arrived at and left the hospital that day, there must be dozens of contact sheets and prints tucked away somewhere in newspaper archives, some of which are bound to show the Mini. I hope and like to think they haven't been tossed into the bin!
I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking "ooft, those are a bit of Rich!" when I saw them.rich@minispares.com wrote:

I know the blue Raddie pic you mean Pete, I've got a grainy low res version of it, I'm guessing it would be George's brothers car too.Pete wrote:Ive definately seen/got other photos from outside Queen Carlotte's hospital but the majority of the car is always not in frame, always been keen to see a rear view of it but never have.WMU 211G wrote:

There's a great high res colour shot of Macca getting into the passenger side of an Iris metallic blue Radford, which is evidently not a Beatles car! Thought it could have been Peter Harrison's?
It would be good to see the pic to compare with below, a friend of mine bought the Peter Harrison Mini below at the 2013 auction but sold it on two or three years later unrestored, after he went over budget on a property renovation project (now finished) and a very early '59 Mini restoration (almost finished!).timell wrote:I know the blue Raddie pic you mean Pete, I've got a grainy low res version of it, I'm guessing it would be George's brothers car too.
It'd be good to see that pic, if possible Nidge?
