This car was again up for auction at Silverstone Auctions at the NEC Classis car show in Birmingham in November 2016.
While looking at the car I met John Hammel who was also looking at it. We got chatting about it and he told me how he had owned it several times before and with hindsight wished he had never sold it. I asked him if he was interested in having it back yet again and he said yes and was going to bid on it.
I didn't see it being sold and often wondered if John was the winning bidder and managed to get it back again.

Not now its not was just removed while I was looking at it. The separate interior looked interesting as did the interior in the car. The interior in the car seemed very basic for a de-seamed car. But I suppose it may have been what the original owner would have wanted.
One of my biggest regrets was getting rid of the W & P Clubman that I had the best part of 18 years ago now, a brilliant 998auto with a 940 head and twin carbs. Was brilliant fun and turned a few heads.
Oh well....

Looking at the end of the gutter, and seeing as there is no trim where the vinyl roof ends, I would say not. Also I don't think W&P ever fitted Cosmic arches, but they could have been added later.

Dash looks like a period Rokee one, mind you not all W&P Minis had the Margrave elite type.

Cilla Black's Wood & Pickett Mini
"Bobby Willis and Cilla Black’s 30-year romance has been well told and proved a fairytale in the world of showbiz. Eight years after their marriage in 1969, Bobby surprise surprised Cilla with a brand new 1977 Mark IV Mini 1000 that was extensively upgraded by Wood & Pickett on Abbey Road, just a stone’s throw from the recording studios; the spiritual London home of Merseybeat. The upgrades included solid black paintwork, extended wheel arches, Margrave leather interior and walnut dashboard. Recently restored whilst retaining its originality, the car will be going on sale on Valentine’s weekend this year, in the 60th anniversary year of the Mini, at the London Classic Car Show and is estimated to sell for between £30,000-£40,000."
