DO NOT BELIEVE a lot of the specs of the Speedwell Courier above.
Speedwell were very prone to being a little "imaginative" regarding engine specs when cars were being demonstrated for the magazines

Actually £ 25,950
http://www.aston.co.uk/carsales_index/p ... ini-Cooper
Even more shocking as I am pretty convinced the same car was on ebay about 3 months ago for £12,000 then at a dealer in the West Country for £ 16,000 and now it's in Beamish.
Who said cars were cheaper oop North?!

For that money, I'd want an S.
Is he not telling us something? Does it come with some sort of weird prototype engine or something?

They are an Aston 'specialist', what more would you expect than over-inflated prices! In the shed wrote:For that money, I'd want an S.

If you can find a dealer in 2015 selling a decent Mk1 S for £25K, for one you'd be very lucky and second, he'd be a pretty useless/skint dealer! In the shed wrote:For that money, I'd want an S.

Great early Hornet project here, with fabric trim, VERY few of these about and this looks a cracking shell!

This looks to be quite a good early car:

Here is a mk2 Cooper for less than 25K:

I quite like this one as well:

Re: WTH??!?! Have you seen this item on ebay.
Some lovely finds there. Pete was suggesting that it would be nigh on impossible to find a Mk1 S under £25k nowadays.
It still looks a very reasonably priced Mk2 Cooper though.

Apologies to Pete and all. I should have read the post more carefully.rolesyboy wrote:Pete was suggesting that it would be nigh on impossible to find a Mk1 S under £25k nowadays.
