I remember when one of these wickerwork mini coopers lived along the Houghton Road out of Carlisle in the 60's when I was an apprentice up there. Looked crap then!

May or may not be a W&P, but this Mk2 S captured briefly in The Rolling Stones 'Gimme Shelter' film (shot in '69, released in '70) has some nice period touches like the Tilling window conversion, looks like it's on Rosepetals and has a short Britax (or Weathersheild?) style sunroof...

My pics I'm afraid, I know no shame! Taken at Bank Garage Minis in '99, went over for a sly shuftie and got the spiel about it being John & Yoko's car, blah blah blah! Said to have a 1071 in it at the time... always wondered what happened to it since then.

I think the Clubbie 'NOB 209M' was Elton John's car.

The pic of the wicker Mini was taken in New York. The "orange" Mk1 is a Radford, hatch I think?

Not a W&P probably but I wasn't sure where else to put this - found it during a search of London street scenes... a nice Mk3 though with some ace period bits in Oxford Street in 1977... ;)

Does anyone know the brand name of those wing mirrors...? Quite chunkie looking on a Mini but I rather like them, I've seen them on Lotus Europas, Lambo Miuras etc.
