By the wording '...off topic', I mean that what I was going to say is not really relevant. Just remotely interesting - connecting the photograph of Delft with a product of Delft.

oké thanks for the explanation
DOWNTON Mini is what I like a lot.
Collecting 60th wooden steeringwheels.
The Sprite and AA Minivan picture looks like it was taken (or posed for) at the old A34 road to Winchester to the south of Newbury just prior to Newtown. The road the goes off to the right, look beyond the bridge, goes off towards the old USAF camp and Basingstoke. I seem to remember being told that the USAF resurrected the old ford during the war as the bridge couldn't take the heavy equipment. I could be wrong of course
As a matter of interest, is that Jerry Lewis with a super, from the two vertical bar grille?
PS It might be my eyes playing tricks, but the reg on the willow green van in the first picture could be the same as the van used for testing the Can-Am wing

"Mclaren" the film was on ITV4 last night, a thoroughly good watch.
That's what inspired me to search for the images. It's an excellent docu-film done in the same way as the Senna one from a few years ago. Some of the home movie footage was excellent to see.
Found this via pinterest yesterday - Ringo and a pal being dropped off at Abbey Road c.1968... the colour toning is a bit off but it looks like a monotone white Mk2 Cooper, I'm sure there's another shot of Ringo in this car somewhere, c.1969 / 70...
