I'm surprised that no one has commented on the positioning of the regulator box yet!

You'd want to have a very good look at it before handing over that sort of money! I do wonder whether there were a few years (or decades) when all his Dad had left was in an envelope.....
Interesting to note that the last thing he sold on ebay was the engine out of 1963 850 Mini.....

The seller is absolutely adamant it's a 1071 but considering the expected £30K+ value doesn't have a £45 Heritage Certificate. (fair enough, they are a rip off!
)

You can pay £5.00 to ask a question before buying the heritage cert . If you e-mail the chassis number to them they will tell you the exact make and model of the car.

Shame about the engine conversion:

Hope the major mechanical work was carried out with better attention than the respray....

Aussie Moke anyone?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mini-Moke-197 ... 3cfffae4ce
Nice early Mk2 still with original front panel and oddly, cooper rear drums.

Nice Mk3 in Aqua. Shame the resto did not include reference to the manual on how to fit the master cylinders... Odd really because he does seem to have them....

That's the comparatively rare Export model. Not many of them made, from 1971-73. The original Moke Californian, and the only mini variant that had a 1275 and drum brakes (to my knowledge).

Looking at the Aussie moke and this one:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUSTIN-MINI-M ... 1ea20b47ed , I'll be really interested to see what they both achieve.
Having moaned the other day about no moke projects coming up, they are like busses all of sudden.
The depressing thing is the prices being asked / paid (obviously as buyer, I'm sure sellers are delighted
)
It seems Mokes are everywhere at the moment - I went to my Mother in Law's to pick up the family last night, and there was a photo of my Brother in law, way back in '65, in Seara-leone in the moke they had out there.
Still, Ebay's rubbish these days - I gave the clubmans racer another go, and once again, lots of watchers anda few tentative enquiries, but nothing worthwhile. It can only be Ebay's fault, and not my asking price.........

So what is my freshly restored 10inch shell worth. Certainly more than the smiths dual gauge that I swapped the unrestored rolling shell for...

What stinks about the 63 Cooper S is that there are no published questions/answers.
63 850 engine last item sold. Gosh. That really is blatant. Jason would be proud.

I have a feeling someone isn't going to be very happy the first time they turn up at show and someone points all this out

Well it is listed as: "Morris Mini Cooper Saloon, Super-de-Luxe for sale."

Looks a little cracker that one, as Nick says. Looks to have low mileage, original carpet, factory panel gaps (ok maybe not the front end). The Ebay description uses a little 'artistic license fair enough but even Joey Essex would spot it's not a Cooper.
