To command really high prices the car must have a proven "track" record.

I suppose S credentials ,aren't as bigger issue with race cars ,if a road car was decribed as "built from a bare shell" there might be a few questions to answer?

As it appeared at Oulton Mini Festival last year. The observant will notice that this car is in keeping with period Works cars as it has had a reg number swop. ;)

"The origonal engine was siezed and replaced with my mini mayfair 998cc with 36000 miles i owned this from nov 1998 when it had 7000 miles on the clock."

Such a clever transplant that. They managed to fit the engine and EVERYTHING it was attached to to the 1968 logbook. Amazing. Such skill!

How many other Minis have you seen that can also defy gravity?

It never ceases to amaze me how many people put pictures on ebay that are out of focus, upside down, or just rubbish.

Makes you think that they don't really want to sell their stuff doesn't it.

too be fair, the upside down picture thing is a iphone deal, where the photos 'know' which way is the right way up, even if they are upside down, so people rotate them thinking they are making them correct, when they are actually turning them upside down........

That are sellers, where the wifes want the thing to be sold, so there best is to make a bad description, so you
can tell your wife "nobody wants it".... ;)

On the other hand, here's a real 60's Mini that's not on a 1980's V5 (why is that conversion not so popular? You'd have thought people would want to pass their cars off as newer...!)

Looks like a nice wheel on it too? springalex?
