Unfortunately this is the only other photo I have. I don't have any more details on the car, I think I saved the photos because I like that colour 1275GT and I thought for 'reference purposes' the wheel arch extensions had been fitted very neatly.

The Mk1 /Mk2 boot lid handle is a feature of 1970 built 1275GTs.

Interestingly I once owned a 1974 pre export Innocenti 1300 Cooper which also had that feature.

The (1976) Longbridge Tunnel 1275GT, the last Mini to 'leave' Longbridge, pictured below on display at the British Motor Museum, Gaydon.

I think the person who bought it at auction for £1400 decided it was better left as it was found (with some panel/roof straightening carried out!) rather than fully restored and is now on loan to the Gaydon museum for as long as they want, not sure if it is currently on display or in the storeroom...but a recent visitor to the museum on here may know?

In October of this year it was upstairs with all the weird and wonderful prototype vehicles above the Jaguar heritage collection.

I didn’t get a shot of it but the MGF test mule Metro was interesting.

Luckily it's on wheels, as in aug 2019 it was in the main building with/near the 60th anniversary corner.

This is a great thread. Thanks for sharing the paint chart info.
Would anybody know what year Damask Red was introduced on 1275GT's?
I am going to take a stab and say 1973 but I cant find anything definitive.

Do we have any GT owners with a 'genuine BL box' fetish?

I have empty boxes for CZH1202 (3 dial gauge housing) and 21A2226 (steering wheel). They're beaten up cardboard boxes that have been written on but have the BL labels and printing. If anyone can make use of them then they're free as long as you cover postage.

Pretty much what my GT looked like when bought it ( only with lots and lots of added rust…!). It is interesting that the photo is of a 1969/ early 1970 GT - no holes in the inner wings, bonnet prop on the right hand side , vinyl on the rear companion bins, mk2 type boot lid handle , early deeply padded seats etc
