Finally last night, I had a chance to read through this belated find and restoration thread. It did leave quite a lump in my throat and at times had the hairs on the back of my neck standing up.

I'm rather lost for words to sum up my reading of it all. I see the car as something very special indeed, especially to you Jens not only for what the car is but also that your late mother, while not actually spinning the spanners, had a considerable involvement in it. Sorry to read that your sisters have turned in to vulchers, however I think we have all seen that happen more than once.

The work you and your very loyal friends have put in to this project is truly outstanding, given what it was to start with, the horrid neglect that it suffered in preceding years, the outcome it just simply unbelievable.

I also now feel, given the cars very special background, that I can no longer call you by your given name, but Mr. Christian or probably more fitting would be Sir Christian.

Hi all,

spring is (was) here, so I thought id better do some work on the car.

Here is the mould I had made, to enable me to cast new rubbers, for the rare Wood & Pickett overriders.

Was in Copus today, and pickup the new rubbers. They will really make a difference .

Drove on to a place called Borup, and picked up the rear screen wiper motor, I had put aside.

Found a correct arm for it, in chrome & stainless (NOS) so now I just need to drill a hole in my paint

Also need to pull a new wire to the rear of the car, becourse I used the one for the rear wiper, to connect the fuel pump.

Will be a nice addition to the collection.

Summer is back on 8-)

and it was last night at Toldboden in Copenhagen, with free fish & chips - beers - coffee & cake for everyone in classic car.

So we went, and had a great evening 8-)

What I didnt expect, was the young man who came over & presented himself, while I was near my car.

He asked me if I knew anything about Wood & Pickett ? I said "yes a bit - why do you ask ?"

To my big surprice he then informed me about another Wood & Pickett car here in little Denmark :o

He not only told me about it, he also showed me pictures on his Iphone.

So thats 5 WP,s in Denmark (still havent seen the WP Range Rover) only spoken to the owner.

Here is a vid from tonight = http://youtu.be/y-cnwUGcztg

Fancy putting "no Riff Raff in the advert"

6" wheel in a car with boot board

Hi all,

how do you guys get a 6" wheel & tyre into a car with boot board ?

removing the brackets is not an option, as some of them still have their factory spot weld,s .

if you have pictures of how you did this = I would love to see :geek:

thanks

You don't! Even a 4.5" S rim with a 165 on won't fit under the boot board. I just have a 145 as a spare to get over it.

What you do Jens is get a 4.5 steel S rim with a 145 tyre, then you have a colour picture of your Rosepetal printed in 1:1 scale and lay it gently on the top of the rim :P

Hi Guys,

thanks for the reply,s ;) I hear you , but I will still see if I can make room for a 6" .

have made a plan = will see if I can make some backets, to fit under the boot board.
these will elevate the boot board, but it will still be attached in the original brackets.

HI Jens,
It may be worth checking that the boot lid will close in the higher position, before you make the brackets. I'm guessing you won't want to cut the boot board!

Thanks Billy, but its OK = the boot board is not genuine.
only problem will be if the uphosltry guy glued the edge cloth & leather to the board ?

Here is the reason for my question about boot board & 6" spare wheel

As you can see here viewtopic.php?f=5&t=8324&start=30

Have I found 2 extra wheels, so now I can make a matching spare.

Now the original wheels, will have to get the center & rim skimmed.
After polish they will be painted in org Black on the spokes.
