I cant see a picture of the bonnet hinges properly as they are unique to the 69's
The type that sit flat & direct on the bonnet ?

You can see one of the hinges in the enginebay pic, looks normal.

that clubman is nice, but its not a 'true' 1969 one as they had the strange back to front hinges (as did the early mk3 round fronts)

years ago a mate of mine had a light brown clubby that was a 'true' 1969 and it had them

however, it may be that its had a replacement bonnet and the hinges had to be swopped for the later ones, as the 'flat hinge' bonnets must be impossible to find.

it would be a nice car to have tucked away

Only seen one of them here in Denmark = old race car.
Its being restored now.

its mental when you consider that the modern repro stuff is fine

id say that most door fitment problems where caused by piss poor welding when doing the a panels

Ohh yes - completely forgot about the holes in the innerwings

Soo many different details, on these early slabfronts, probably many I forgot (interior light is one)

its also a MK II item.

That is one of those cars that fall into a category that some refer to as replication pretend cars in that they are neither original nor a flat-pack concourse rebuilds. They have some sense of humour £27k

Fools who buy this type of car is why ordinary people can not afford Minis. :(

It can't be a great job when 30 secs looking at the sellers own images can conclusively prove that its a wrong un. No doubt some fool will buy it though.

The car aside, this part of the T&Cs are a bit wiffy....

"The buyer must be able to provide a 50% sign in the next 2-4 business days after the accepted offer. The 50% left must be payd on the delivery,"

I never understand why people try to sell a car for this value and take photos on a nokia 3310

you are hardly likely to attract serious bidders with pictures that look as if they have cataracts......

give the guy some credit though, at least the door cards are in the right way round - that's my current pet hate on 'fully restored by a marque specialist' cars that dealers seem to be trying to flog at the moment!

You nailed it, I too see an early 998 cc Cooper in these photographs :?: :?:

Pete Seeger’s song is worth a mention here:-

Where have all the 998 Cooper cars gone, long time passing?
Where have all the 998 Coopers gone, long time ago?
Where have all the 998 Coopers gone?
Young men have converted them to Cooper S type everyone.
Oh, when will they ever learn? :(
When will they ever learn
