That can't be a real policewoman......not that attractive! Got to be posed unless anyone recognises the badge on her helmet - which looks like it's got the old kings crown on it

Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin load their kids into the back of a GT6. The Clubman might have been a better option for a young family.

GT6 mK3 with plain glass makes it a Rotoflex car, could be with rear seat option, though I cant see it....Portsmouth registration 71-72 ( could get closer if I had my books to hand)
Looks like a webasto P6 parked in front....(Bank manager visiting, perhaps?)

Hills numberplates on that GT6 - would indeed be the right period for the optional rear seat conversion.

Pete, being 1000miles divorced - currently- from my reference I couldnt properly debate...
Pre 74 registrations were handled by the County Councils, it may be - I'd need to check how/if Hampshire did administer, or did OiW have specific identifiers to use?
Certainly post 74 when DVLA had taken over and introduced their Local Vehicle Registration Offices 'DL' was a Portsmouth LVO identifier.
So, yes, the GT6 does predate DVLA, ie when Councils were in control, and as IoW was (is) an independent County you could be right.

UDL***K issued between August 71 and December 71 in the Isle of Wight. https://www.oldclassiccar.co.uk/registrations/dl.htm

Car with sunroof looks like a Sunbeam Rapier. You can just make out the rear lamp and boot lid crease through the GT6 windows.

Reminds me of the Les Dawson joke about the policewoman and the walrus. That said, the scooter rider is very attractive

"Harry Hall Cycles was formed in 1955 by Harry Hall, an enthusiastic cyclist and gifted cycle mechanic. Harry, and the shop, became famous for providing probably the UK's first neutral service vehicle. Between 1962 - 76 Harry provided a free race service to most top UK and local events.
A friend and rider of the era said 'it was a great feeling, if you looked behind you and saw Harry & the van, you knew you'd made it!'
The little Minis proved to be a reliable vehicle for the task. We ran 3 Mini's over this period, the latter two being performance modified to keep up with the pace the riders were now setting."
