To me a barn find is an example that has seen little road time, spending most of its life Undercover (in a garage or such)
I agree.
Where as the definition now seems to stretch to any old pile of shite that is far to far gone to restore, but may have had a bit of cow poo on it at some time or for that matter may not.

I'd like to play ebays rules.. Not as described. More like a total and utter basket case! Still, one almost as bad as that got restored by someone on the mini forum. They made a half decent job of it too!mk1 wrote:To me a barn find is an example that has seen little road time, spending most of its life Undercover (in a garage or such)

The pick up I'm doing was as bad, if not worse, than that '62
Yes, I was mad to start it but I looked at it as a challenge
Having said that, I didn't pay anything for it. It was a case of either I have a go at it or Dad was going to scrap it.
Looking at what complete crap goes for now, I suspect he'd have eBayed it in the event of me being sane at the time of the hand over, rather than scrap it.
Would have had to describe it as a pig shed find though to be truthful

I don't think he could offer it as suitable for classic car storage anyway

This nearly fooled me!
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vi ... 1648412926
Makes me think, a swap over of the upper frame from a mk3 and some custom glass (can mk3 glass be cut..!) and you're not far off an external hinged hybrid.

Rung once, about to be rung again
If this get past the VIC check it'll prove they are a total waste of time.

Unless of course it is a very rare early pre-production prototype of the Mini City?Andrew1967 wrote:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1968-Classic- ... 1a0027fab9

Mini Van REAR Window winder regulator mechanism.....rarely seen in the uk
"sold as is pair of Morris Mini Van REAR Window winder regulator mechanism pair from a portuguese car.
in Portugal some vans were fitted with this mechanism to replace the sliding rear passenger window with a wind up .
very easy to fit .
full used kit (just needs glass and rubbers and one of the wood pieces)"
