Early van out in the snow. I wonder what happened to it?

Image

It went camping after having side windows fitted.

It toured Europe

It gained some roof windows and a flip front

It went out in the snow again

and in the end it got too rusty so donated it's mechanicals to a home built special

Great sets of pics Stu, nice story line too. I think me laddo is photographing an Alfa 2600 Sprint Zagato on his European jaunt.

Edit - just noticed the aftermarket dash and door pocket cushions in the second pic down.

What a cracking set of photos, priceless!

Mind you I'm not to keen on the lines of the homebuilt special!!!

No. It looks a bit crap doesn't it. Still, a good way of saving all the good mechanicals from a rusty Minivan back then :)
Rare 6 cylinder Volvo 164 in the background ;)

The Jetstar N3L was owned by Cameron Iron, and sometimes visited Heathrow, as here. It was later converted to twin TFE731 engines, much quieter and less thirsty. Sorry no car content, biz jet geek here...

Bit random, but completely get it, this must of been before the high perimeter fence ?

Dad used to take us up to Heathrow and park on the perimeter road next to the runway to watch the planes coming in.

Simple times.... :D
