Whoa, that's more than I paid for my Dove Grey UK Spec 1071 Cooper S in 1998. Which I guess is the point of this thread, that demand has driven prices up. To be fair, I've paid that for a Les Leston steering wheel, so I am guilty too. It does look the bees knees though

May I ask why the discussion regarding "that logbook" has disappeared from this thread?

Probably because the posts were made during the Upgrade / downgrade cock up. There have been no moderator deletions to the ebay thread for months. I have just checked.

Interesting. I was just wondering whether the car was likely to appear "on the road" again. It's an interesting one for sure.

It's a LOT of money for a cancelled logbook. Someone paying that much is not going to stick it on their wall.

doesn't the real car still actually exist though, so it seams unlikely that the dvla will get as far as giving the 'owner' of the rf60 a shiney new v5c.

years ago there was a mini that used to come to work that had been rung by one of the 'all perfectly legal to do it mate' crowd.

the only problem was that the original car still existed and also used to come to work, I never managed to get a photo of them both in the car park at the same time

one was a nice old tax exempt mini clubman, the other was a garish metallic purple thing - it wasn't difficult to see which car was the 'wrong un'

both had v5c's though - which must have caused some issues!

ASBO narrowly escaped being turned into a Cooper S the other day. It's back in the shed now.

£1399 for an old logbook  Somebody must've had a plan for it!

If the original car still exists it's not going to do the buyer any good is it.

More fool them.
