Re: WTF ?!?!?
You can laugh, but there's probably someone with a rusted-out Mini Minus who needs a set of them.

Re: WTF ?!?!?
sooo, erm, I live in France, and getting a car that's been only slightly modified on the road is like going to war with the administration.. and yet, in England, this is road-legal?

I wonder what the insurance would be like for this "Leyland Mini GT"..

I'm sure that Rich could find a use for those GRP sills on one of his plastic fantastic's.
Its really hard to find replacement panels for GRP cars that have suffered from the dreaded plastic worm

Here's a good one

It's like you putting your house on eBay and saying,
"For sale - house in England. Please contact me for more details!"

Re: WTF ?!?!?
A lad at work twenty odd years ago had one of those crappy eastern European bikes. We used to give him loads of stick about it, then some fool nicked it! He got even more stick then.

Re: WTF ?!?!?
If it was proved that that collection of random bits & bobs was ever a works engine I'd happily eat the lot.
940 head, thin flange 1275 block, X drilled late 1275 crank, 190 (1071 S) gearbox casing, 649 cam, when most works cars used a 510. No engine number tag.
Just a random collection of crap as far as I can see.
I wonder what some plonker offered him for it?

Re: WTF ?!?!?
I was watching it for the 190 box, it bid over £500 then it looks like all bids were cancelled and he's sold it off eBay. No doubt someone has gone daft with the spurious ex works tale! A fool and his money.......

Yes I agree! Has anyone asked him I wonder??Gray wrote:Would be interesting to know what the reg of the works car was that the logbook was sold for
Did the comps dept not continue the practice of putting a strap over the core plugs? I know some "works" engines had this feature, I owned one myself many years ago - One of those things I really should've kept .
