That's Maus Gatsonides from the Netherlands the well known rally driver who won the 1953 rally monte carlo. He also invented the speed camera, the picture is from 59/60. Many thanks for posting it.

1969 or 1970 judging from the traffic and parked cars. Can't read the numberplate on the Capri but I think they didn't go on sale until 1969?

Thank you, that's earlier than I thought but I'm really bad at identifying English street scenes. The Hornet appears to maybe be Florentine Blue over Chartreuse. We have a MkI Elf in the same colors and I'm trying to add to the list of similar cars.

Certainly the majority are British. I can also spot a Citroen, a Simca, and a couple of Renault Dauphines which were popular then. In fact I think they were the best selling imported car in the UK at one time :shock: ;)
Maybe one or two others I cannot identify. A good picture!
