I for one, haven't got an answer to THAT question
A friendly international forum for people interested in the tuning & modification of classic BMC vehicles

You only have to watch TV programmes like American Pickers and Salvage Hunters to realise that some 'older' men have gathered huge hoarded collections of sometimes highly sought after items in old sheds and warehouses that they will never ever get round to using or restoring in their lifetime but can't bear to part with....even if it is rotting away out in the open. One has to hope that those left behind don't chuck the remaining good stuff in skips when they leave this world but sadly it does still happen.swifty wrote:I would take all these prices with a large pinch of salt . In the real world that I live in , it's one thing advertising them for that and another getting it . I have two mk1 S and a mk 3 S in my collection and I thought it was great that all these prices were going up and up . Now I realise that were in danger of destroying a great hobby and past time . I personally know of about 3 people that take great joy in stockpiling as much original Cooper s parts as they can . They don't sell the parts ! Oh no . They just love having something witch everyone is crying out for . I wont mention names but one of these collectors of parts has complete sets of full brocade trims in bmc wrapping . All there going to do is die old men with them , crazy ! .......most of the people advertising these minis at ridiculous prices are chancer's ..... Ken
Reading the Q&A would suggest that a previous owner carried out the modifications including cutting a Vauxhall Ventora grille. Seats look like Lancia Beta and the electrics look like they are one short away from a fire!!
