Someone left a deposit on that, are they mad?
Also a bit of doctoring on the pictures
Body number here

Body number gone?

RE: the body number on that, I think it's been painted over quite heavily, so probably only just shows when it catches the light. As it does in the first picture, in the second picture I think you can just make out a few dimples in the paint that would probably be the body number...

They look like the marks of a bit of photoshopping to me.

I wonder if it started life as an Inca Yellow Clubman. Those Newtons seats look lifeless and flat.
Yes the seats look completely wrong - I've seen fatter pancakes... I agree that is Inca Yellow - not Bronze. Under bonnet shots carefully taken - I wonder if there are holes and big grommets in the inner wings, if its a single or twin bolt subframe, if it has a body number on the slam panel, which side the bonnet prop is on etc....

Unless I'm mistaken I think I can just about make out the rough shape of a big single subframe bolt partiality obscured from vision by the radiator overflow pipe

"We acquired this mini in 2016 from the Isle of Man and it had previously been restored with some non standard parts."
Namely shell, subframes, engine, otherwise genuine.

There's a car for sale here in Australia for AUD $25,000 (GBP 13,500) or offer that claims to be a 1275 GT.
Does it look to be the real deal?

At least this one isn't pretending to be a 1970 - however that isn't 'deckchair striped upholstery'....!

The number stampngs lood decidedly wring to me Winabbey. The clutch lever has been bent to suit. There's probably a few other faults too

But part of ad does say: "only the seats being trimmed in a more modern material but retaining the original colours and the original seat covers still with the car should you wish to refit them."

Is that a Moke radiator?
And as Peter says, those tags are not kosha.

Those seats are, well not to my taste. I would be concerned about the crinkles on the drivers side inner wing near the grommet and bend, looks to be some odd hammer marks there. And what is it about the makers of the stripes, those are just completely wrong.

It may have had a half inner wing repair panel.
As for the seats being the original pattern in a modern material ...
They are miles off (and really let the car down) - these are much more accurate.

It's also got an A+ engine with a 'vertigo' clutch!

I wonder how good the cooling system works with the fan fitted back to front? Blades look pretty curly too so a new fan would be in order.

Just had another look at the engine bay and it appears that the whole engine has been sprayed with that car dealer varnish that peals off and looks horrid after a couple of months. Either that or it's been sprayed all over with WD40.
