The Police at Newbury had those Hillman Imps...... They were gutless, wouldn't pull you off the nest! Got them cheap as we were lead to believe, originally destined for some equatorial country as they didn't have heaters either. So you had to thrash the living daylights out of it half way to Hungerford and back before there was even a whiff of warmth to make its way into the car. But worse was to come as the roof box was held on with self tappers - screwed in from the top downwards. So as soon as the unfortunate Pete Ambrose rolled one in the ice, coming down the old Pinchington Lane, he got a head full of self tappers. They went into his head but weren't long enough to pierce his brain. The joke doing the rounds for weeks after he was released from hospital (and unscrewed from the roof) was that they didn't make self tappers that long. Sorry Pete if you're reading this somewhere in Italy where he eventually retired

Eric and Ernie...? More like Elton John and Alan Wicker (sans 'tache)!

That poor 1100, I've taxed worse..!

In 1968 my Dad started working for a firm down at Watford Gap near the M1 called Livingstone Allpack, not long after he started the office received a phone call from Newport Pagnell asking for some help in shipping out one of the Goldfinger DB5s to Ian Fleming's pad in Jamaica, my Dad and his mate were duly dispatched to pick it up - here's an earlier shot of it arriving in Switzerland for filming...
