I was the same, was pretty sure it was the one in the magazine as well. Not a great attempt on the advert for it considering what a rare Mini it is.

Not unusual for a 1960 Mini to have later doors fitted during its lifetime though......most of my Mk1's did in the 1970's due to rust and we considered the later parts to be an improvement......any worries about originalty were way in the future!

a job awaits you at the British museum in the preservation department.
If not there then I am sure the cataloguing dept would be glad to have his services.

They have handle bosses
That's what's wrong.

Surely a nomination for .."Crap Post Of The year"
Amazingly somebody may well have changed them , or even the doors
, in the last fifty years of the car's life. My last (very original) '65 Mk1 S had later door handles on, they were fitted early in it's life. The number of solenoid spotters that used to point that out....Jesus....
Funnily enough when I modified the Hornet to high heaven I never heard anyone say "wrong engine, wrong speedo, wrong trim, etc etc"
Whilst looking at a really interesting and original (ie not just a chassis plate screwed to a 1960 Mini 850) Mk1 S at Bulee once, the miserable pedant next to me started tutting at the "wrong" parts (alternator etc). The fact that it was a really interesting original car with race history in it's original shell didn't seem to matter.

When you sold me it, you didn't tell me it had been modified

Ahhh...yes slight oversight...well you didn't ask!
It's actually a very early '59, had a slight reshell at some point in it's life.
