am I wrong in saying this should be reported to ebay as a fraudulent listing?
this is the same car that was withdrawn from auction because the listing was false isn't it??

Correct the previous owner David Hopkinson tried to sell it at H&H in Buxton in 2013 but they pulled it after consultation with the 59 register and his widow put it up with Bonhams a few months ago and again after talking to the register they pulled it too.

FO was Radnorshire and yes looking in my Glasses guide to indexes 1925 -1965 EFO ended in Dec 63 then jan 64 was AFO ..B but being such a small county with not many new vehicles AFO was carried onto AFO...C so therefore anny FO numbers after EFO are Re reg

What does I say about LFF? It's a 90's re-reg on my car (I applied for it) to eu rid of the A reg that was on it.

Yes poor bloke always seems to get his auctions rallying to within a whisker of what always seems to be the reserve and then the bidding stops. Still at least he has the option to relist a few weeks later

I have my doubts about that being a real prototype...

some of those aussie cars try and go for stupid money, some of those barn yard finds are pretty funny,
there is one guy in aus, trying to sell an ID plate for $3000au, which i think is illegal in most states,

Selling without a logbook...... can you still do this?
Of course you can - buyer just needs to download a V62, fill it in and send it off.

Thanks Simon.
But could DVLA refuse to issue a V5C? And what reasons would they use for not issuing one?
Could someone claim the number/car back in the future if they had the original logbook for it?
Thanks in advance.

Given who the seller is I'm not sure I'd want to take the chance.

DVLA will automatically issue a new V5C to the V62 applicant.....if the previous registered keeper does not reply to them from their last shown address to claim it within 2 weeks.

If it is the actual car - and there is no reason to think it isn't as EBL 300C is a white Austin Mini according to the DVLA - the lack of a V5 wouldn't put me off buying it if I wanted it.
