Past my test in a Triumph Herald, it was quite a strange experience because I had a driving test assessor in the rear seat assessing the competence of the examiner

This is not Jochen Rindt this is Jo Siffert from Switzerland! White cross with white stripes left and right on red ground.
Jochen Rindt drove the works-Coopers while this picture shows the Rob Walker entry.

Something a little different but with a couple of Mk1s in period - Vulcan Foundry Loco Works, Newton-le-Willows on 1st October 1967, English Electric prototype loco DP2 is brought back to the works after its awful derailment at Thirsk in July that year....

The registration number BD 40 is still in use. It's on a Jaaaag now
I don't imagine it was original on that Mini either - probably quite a bit earlier and transferred to it.

That reg was issued between 1903 and 1924, and being a low number would suggest probably Edwardian.
