Agreed, Beautiful !!! These early W&P's are so underrated. And are the hidden jem of the mini world. Very rare cars! The mid to late 70's they lost there way or it can be argued there was very little taste in the mid to late 70's in general!

I agree to .. its one of the very best mk 2 S types around today..with a great history that's undoubted.... a very superior example by comparison to a lot of mk 1 or 3 cars around that are not in any way original !!!...foxy52

I don't know what that car really is but I do remember it being advertised locally to us a few years ago (for not much more than 10% of the current asking price!) and no mention being made of any "coachbuilder". It was just regarded as a customised Mini which rather devalued it in most peoples eyes....
I remember it being for sale on carandclassic.com when I had one of my Rover P6s for sale on there at the same time, the S was up for about £12,750 if memory serves, it wasn't on there for long. The current vendor has had it for a while now, I wonder why it isn't sold..? Lovely looking car though, it was parked next to mine at Stanford Hall last year so I had a good old shuftie at it.

£50K price tag isn't gonna help, doesn't look like W&P to me unless it was done in recent times by one of the modern interpretations of the company?

Looks like Brett Sinclaire's Aston, must be a scene from The Persuaders? I think the garage is long gone.

Pic inside Park Royal - the Mini top centre could easily be my old Mk3 S!

Yes, it's from an episode called 'Someone Like Me', first shown on 29/10/71. The bloke in the white coat opening the door for Roger Moore is Coronation Street's Johnny Briggs

Yes it belongs to George, who runs the Wood & Pickett web page (the proper one)
Still looking good more than 30 years later =

Hard to see whatever this is a Radford or Wood & Pickett
Think its one of the cars, that had work done at both Radford and W&P, workshops.
Door handle is original Mini, but rear screen wiper - vinyl roof with cutaway rear roof gutter are W&P items, and it looks like one of WP,s badge,s for Mini,s on the boot.

No problem JC, I was just surprised to see them on there! I think I originally post them up on my flickr page, quite a while ago now

Yes I would agree with JC. Looks like it was originally converted by Radfords and then went to WP's for an upgrade.
UHR850 do you have any more shots of it? Interior etc?
