I know Stu but an age related plate (eventually) and no history takes alot away from the car really. You think the seller would have been able to get something from the deceased family about it's history/reg number?
But it's a genuine shell, unlike a lot of the red and white cars that do the rounds. ;)

Not me Foxy ! A similar state common Mk1 Mini wouldn't have been much less than that price and a Mk3 S in that original state (albeit engine-less) would have gone for twice that money I suspect so I don't think that was over priced for such a comparitively rare and interesting car! Hope the buyer manages to dig it's original reg number out from the previous owner's family, I'm sure it'll make a great car one day.

I agree, I don't think it was wildly over-priced. After all, if you want an early 1275GT - and they are becoming sought after - where would you find one? The shell looks pretty good and an engine shouldn't be too hard to find. As others have said, with luck the registration might turn up too? I was "watching" it from the start but I mustn't buy another project car..... :(

Hmmm, £2600 with no engine and no V5

My 1970 is pretty rotten, but with all its bits and a V5! Don't want to sell but I'll probably never get the time.
