Amazing weekend, a lot of fun hanging out with Pete and Paul.... beer consumption vs. petrol consumption figures slightly backwards for a motoring event. And thanks Pete for sorting the Stirling reunion, incredible!

Unfortunately I had to give this one a miss this year. Thanks for posting some pictures Pete and I'd be up for supporting a Mk1 get together in the future.

Thanks for the comments chaps, and I took 2 seconds off last year's time! (not difficult with the rocker issue / aftermath last year!)

Also nice to speak to 60's star driver Willie Green, who not only knew Trickett well (who didn't??) (told us some great stories!) but I forgot to ask him about my Unipower, which he'd have known for sure as he used to spank it's ass in his Ginetta G12 in 1967! Luckily I took his number, another invite for Blyton! ;)

I'll be back at Shelsley next year in the Unipower, hope there'll be a few more of us, sooooooo much more entertaining than your average Mini event and where else would you get Stirling Moss to sit in your car, imagine trying that at Goodwood! .......Security!! :o

Apparently Ant has booked some pool lessons (no not swimming) for the boozer ('after-show party') next time, and a taxi probably!

I'd also like to sincerely thank Mark F for loaning me his half of the car to do this event. 8-)
For the record.. his half was the front half if I'd have hit anything with it.

This fella was impressive overhead!

Pete it was a cracking day and I will be there next year. Also looking at the Classic Events at Loton and Prescott.

Loton were especially welcoming and the Comp secretary would love to run a class for Classic Minis. I am entering the next one this year; is that Unipower ready yet????
