Not this time...I think the next journey to Goodwood will be in something a little more motorway friendly!

I'm going, both days. I was hoping it would be the pickups first outing with the new engine but sadly due to time constraints my garage couldn't finish it, I will be cheering on the Turner, even though that's the reason I'll be in my banger Alfa rather than my mini

Going to have the S in the Chicane Paddock, really looking forward to it now, 29 80's turbo F1 cars on track should be quite a sight

Great day out yesterday, chatted to a few forum members, excellent race for Nick Swift, if it hadn't been for some
in a Rover SD1 putting him on the grass he would have got 2nd, still a front row start in 3rd for today, and if the car goes like it was yesterday I think he will hold on to it

Pete,
Thanks for sharing the video links. Great stuff!
Congratulations to Nick and the Swiftune team. Awesome driving, just a thrill to watch. Taking a new car out and finishing well, the Swiftune team must be pretty stoked right now. Andy and I are looking forward to Nick racing the Neal/Kimes/Baggot Mini at the Can-Am race in June. Nick says the engine is almost done
Cheers,
Rachel

A great time was had over the weekend!
The event lacked the buzz of the Revival, but the small numbers made it fantastic for getting around quickly and meant you could always get a front row view from anywhere around the track.
Was great to see the F1, Group C and Group B cars - but they were a little disappointing on track I thought. They were never being pushed hard at all which took away from the spectacle a little.
The Gerry Marshall Trophy was epic and incredibly entertaining!
Will get some pics and vids up soon.
Neil

Looked great, still seems like an odd concept to me though and the spectators did look pretty thinned out. Looked like Andy H had been in the wars !

I think it was something to do with the steering by the way he was hitting the wheel
, the JPS F1 cars went past us on the straight quick enough to get sparks from the skid plates hitting, which was good to see, and the Benetton car managed to spin on Saturday ( though that was probably lack of speed / downforce), the P1 McLaren was so quick on its demo laps, and one of the F40 course cars nearly spun coming out of the assembly area. I agree on the feel of the event, it was almost like the first revival, and it was nice to be able to walk round the track and know you would be able to get a decent spot to watch from

I take it there had been a we bit of contact before the cameras picked up on it Andy? On the highlights you seemed to get a shove from the rear and spin across the front of the Hornet with your passenger side, but the drivers door and sill was displaying quite a few knocks as well.
Looked like a decent meeting, and actually seemed to have many benefits over the revival, but personally I'd only go if it maintained the pre 66 rules. I like '70s 'loons, but I'm not sure I want to watch them at Goodwood.
And track demos just leave me a bit cold. Either race them, or let me look at it in the paddock.

Was also there on both days, absolutely stonking event and had such a great time.
So many highlights to talk about that this post could get rather long but I hold fire and just say the weather certainly was the icing on the cake as it were for any such outdoor based gathering.
Fingers crossed they do it again and also keep the numbers limited compared to the other established events they hold.
