its common in auto grass to stroke them for the s rods as this lets you get them bang on the class limit of 1130cc
If you can get a 81,33mm cranskshaft offset reground to 84mm, then you are almost on 3mm ;)

As sold by MED.

Why not sell the 1071 crank and byu a 970. That's the way to go.
And rods...970 has unique rods

Well im pleased to say that i picked up a 970s short block yesterday thanks to ebay. Poorly described and pictures showing an A+ block it was a bit of a gamble. After messaging the seller to see what he was prepared to sell it for outside of Ebay it was mine. Upon picking it up it has a nice genuine AEG330 crank, 970 rods and good quality pistons, a spikey cam of some sort and vernier pulley. Was dead chuffed as its saved me heaps of time and money. Did i mention I got it for £50. Yes Im not missing a zero...50 quid! Will post pics soon.
