Most track days start at that kind of money for an all dayer. Most are actually much more expensive (especially any MSV circuits). In fact all track days at Blyton organised by Javelin or Apex are more money at weekend in the busy season. (May 11th is a Sunday)

My main problem currently with this at the moment is time. I have until early next week to commit or lose it. I've approached a Mini glossy today who can't commit due to Himley Hall (yawn... ) being on the same day, they also can't support it financially but will promote it to the hilt for us.

I do have a couple of other irons in the fire...more soon. I just think this has to happen. :D

Good idea, we'll mull that one over.

What about, say, 10 people who are committed to pay up in full within the next Week? would that sort out the track Date deposit?

Count me in for that one?

Count me in I think it's a great idea would bring my mk 1 850 / 1071 engined car owned for 32 years not used for 5years it's still in its 1997 Italian job livery . Something like this would give me some inclination to dig it out of the garage .

I think it's also important to stress that we'd want cars to come along who aren't that interested in going on the circuit, a nominal admission charge would apply. The circuit also has a very large undercover area should the weather not behave itself.

I'd be interested in coming along on a non-track basis Pete.

Not too keen on taking the car on track - if you saw me this week on a company karting evening, you'd understand why

What about a modest '59 gathering on the day Bill ? Remember it's on the same day as Himley though ! (Zzzzzz...)

I could see what we could do. Might be a sight more I interesting than Himley Hall.

I'll be in the SPI and I've got at least 1 more definite interest on the day.

Probably a bit unfair of me to knock Himley , and actually if another date was available to avoid the clash I'd take it but I'd also say that last time I went (this year) I got round in an hour tops and if it wasn't for your '59 stand I'd have been bored in half the time !

Should have some good news on this before the end of the week. ;) 8-) And yes, there will be some racers on track no doubt but I want to remind those that haven't done a track day before that road cars are very welcome, whether it be on track or on display. :)
