So... after falling out with the car, this morning I whipped off the brass cover and found this to be loose

you appear to be missing the air filter as well

Ha ha, I've been told not to bother...? Would you?

everytime , i went to the effort of making a proper filter arrangement on the amals on the 8 port.
When you see how much crap comes out of an filter when you clean it...why have that going into your engine.
I'd go for a ramair or similiar foam type, I've read somewhere that the metal backplate on the K+N types can cause pulsing issues, whether that actually makes any difference or not I cant say?
Dont use sock type filters for each barrel, they cost 5bhp.
