Fred you should send a photo to the woman you bought it from. I think she will fall off her chair when she sees the car. Fantastic work!

Brilliant job, panel gaps to die for. I remember trying to find the owner a decent Mk1 S last year but he's certainly come up trumps with this car. As I recall it grew some funky mods in the 60's with a home made air flow system and 'Radfordesque' paint job. 8-) Top job Fred.

the chap had made them all from wood, very strange,
well its up and running, first time since 1973 when the road tax ran out.
very pleased with the car,it's a joy, and a priveilige to work on such a correct car.
it'll be at Beaulieu at the weekend, not 100% finished, but looking like it.
be pleased to meet any forum members,

Top drawer resto,I should think you will get some good business on the back of this thread !!
Mini restorers of your ilk are few and far between these days.

Thankyou LDR and all others,
this thread wasn't started for that reason, this car is so special, it had to be restored and without cost and value the ruling factor,
i have been very lucky to be the one to do this, and it has been a pleasure and burden at the same time,
it is going to be seen out and about, for all to enjoy.

many thanks for all the nice comments.
